DEVOTEE OF SRI RADHAKRISHNA
  Uddhav was a brother and friend of Sri Krishna as his father was the brother of Vasudev (father of Srikrishna).

One day Sri Krishna was very sad by remembering about Sri Radha and the Gopis as he felt that they were also sad by remembering him. As Uddhav believed Knowledge is greater than Love , he thought that it was only the imagination of Srikrishna and he was stuck only in his imagination. So he said to Srikrishna that in order to get knowledge in life one had to left his love behind,so he also do the same. But as Sri Krishna wanted to made him understand that  the love and devotion of Sri Radha and Gopis towards himself , he said to go Vrindavan and made them understand that knowledge is greater than Love.

With permission of Sri Krishna he went to Vrindavan with a letter written by SriKrishna. When he reached to Vrindavan all the Gopis understand that the letter was written by their Krishna and tore it up , divided into fragments in order to get sensetion of Krishna. Uddhav was shocked to see this. At that night he tried to made understood to Sri Radha and Gopis that Knowledge is greater than love , but no one understand it. For them no one is greater than Srikrishna and his love towards them. But Uddhav was not agree to accept as he was not aware that according to Sri Radha and Gopis there is a also Anand ( pleasure) in the pain of Viraha (separation).But shree Radha said that there is no separation between them and Srikrishna. He was always with them. But Uddhav did not accept as Srikrishna was in Dwarika. Atlast Sri Krishna made him saw that he was always with them. When he try to touch Srikrishna whome he saw beside Shree Radha , he found that Krishna was there.
Then he was able to understand the true love of Shree Radha and Gopis towards SriKrishna and also of Srikrishna towards them.
From then Uddhav became a great devotee of Sri Radhakrishna.
